Rag Stripping Wreaths are easy to make, the hard part is choosing the color scheme, fabric and theme for your wreath. If you are a crafty person like me you seem to have a lot of fabric scraps laying around just waiting to become part of a masterpiece. The wreaths can be time consuming with ripping the strips and tying them on your wreath. If you have never done one than you might want to start out with a smaller wreath so if you decide this is not the craft for you than hopefully you will be able to finish it and have a small wreath to enjoy I have seen instructions all over the internet for these wreathes and I wonder why make things look more difficult then they are... I feel that you need to just go with the size strips you want, nothing has to be even with ripping or when tying them on as you will be trimming the wreath when you get done. The key to these wreaths are they are RAG strips. Rip your strips if possible so it gives it the appearance of rags. You don't have to be a perfectionist to do these wreaths...PTL for that! I used the green wire floral wreath available at Walmart. Rip your strips until you have a good amount ripped and start tying them on. Really that is all there is to it. You can incorporate lights into your wreaths if you like. I would recommend that when you do buy your lights that you buy some replacements for your lights you buy at that time so you have them on hands to replace them when they burn out. Tie a bow and stick it on or not...I made little flags for mine here...as you can see I used scraps from my wreath and twine and dipped them in stiffy solution and walla flags!
So get busy start ripping and have some fun!
IT IS OK TO BE HAPPY WITH A SIMPLE LIFE!
